The Stanford-Binet test aims to gauge intelligence through five factors of cognitive ability. Each is combined into a cumulative score and known commonly as the intelligence quotient, or IQ. Included in these factors are quantitative reasoning, fluid reasoning, working memory, visual-spatial processing, and knowledge. This assessment measures nonverbal as well as verbal responses.
